Good old English pub in Meribel City Centre. Serves a range of burgers and steaks with a variety of beers. The classic burgers is tasty and succulent. There is also live music downstairs in the basement.
Great location, easy walking distance to most things in town. Parking on the street or nearby garage for free. Room was nice with a view and comfortable bedding. No breakfast means you need to plan ahead or visit the bakery only a few meters down the road. Host was friendly and spoke English.
Rooms a fair price for what you get and location. Bar Far too expensive! Those prices are the same as up the hill and you get all stock delivered by road to the door here so no excuse for ripping people off.
I came here for lunch recently as the weather was no good for skiing, I ordered The Sausages & Mash which was absolutely amazing and delicious. The bread that came with my meal was great to. The prices are very reasonable, the staff are very friendly and helpful and overall I would highly recommend this pub to anyone in the area. 馃槉馃槉馃槉 I will definitely be coming back
Little bit of confusing menu, because some dishes were written on chalkboard cheaper than on the actual menu.
But really tasty food, dual language service.
They say they don't serve food to people after 14.00 but it was no problem for us (group of 9) and other people aswell
Great service after a long day skiing
We stayed 4 nights at La Taverne. It is in the middle of Meribel center with access to the slopes via an escalator only 50 metres away . The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Our room had access to a balcony where we have good view of the busy town square and the mountains. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the best we had in Meribel. The staff in restaurant and the bar where super friendly and made the stay extra enjoyable. I will easily choose La Taverne on my next visit to Meribel!
Female bar manager very unhappy. Hate to sound clich茅 but doesn't hurt to smile. We asked for football on but she didn't care and put skiing on which nobody cared about. This was the on lady whose ruined our experience.
